Land Art Delft beetle
In 2016 the Indonesian artist Eddi Prabandono created this artwork called “Tampung Sari”. ‘Tampung sari’ is Indonesian for living together. With his work, Eddi wants to make people aware of pollution and how it affects nature. The choice of a car wrapped in plants brings to the fore the industrial pollution of this time.
In 2016 the artwork was placed next to motorway A13 at Land Art Delft, but it has since moved to another location in the middle of the park.
A similar artwork (with a New Beetle) can be found in Shanghai.
Eddi also converted a beetle into a boat. This was displayed at ART/YOG in Yogyakarta.
