In 2024 we will again make the trip from Rotterdam to Kefalonia with a number of beetles to participate in the 10th Ionian VolksFest.

Classic Volkswagens from all over Europe gather on Kefalonia for five days of sun, beaches, excursions, Greek food and live music. For us it will be the fifth time we have attended this amazing event and the second time we have taken the beetles to Greece.

We will leave on Tuesday, August 21 and drive to Greece via the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland and Italy.

Feel free to join our road trip, or part of it! On this page we will share our itinerary and give tips for routes and ferry crossings.

Registration at Karavomylos Lake.
Departure to Poros and Skala for a day at the beach with games and lots of fun.
We will gather at the port of Sami, from where we will depart to a local restaurant for dinner, featuring a Balkan night and live music.

We gather at the port of Sami, from where we depart for the Monastery of Agios Andreas and a visit to the Byzantine Museum.
From the monastery we will do various road trips to beaches and all kinds of activities.
Party time in Sami, with live music.

We gather at the port of Sami.
We will leave for Lixouri, where we will do various road trips and activities until the evening. Of course, a visit to the beach cannot be missed.
If you still have the strength for it, we will continue with music from vinyl records at a bar in Sami.

Argostoli
We will move to Argostoli, to continue the VolksFest and until 14:00 there will be a swap meet with used and new VW parts at the Argostoli campsite.
We will go to a local beach to cool down and have a beach party.
Group photo at the lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi during the sunset. From here we will depart to the center of Argostoli to where we will show our rides in the shopping street. Ofcourse with live music and great food.
